Louise Van Reeth

Louise Van Reeth is a Belgian visual artist (born in 1988). Her practice utilizes mineral elements (charcoal, earth, pigments, stones, gold leaf, etc.) which, while raw and still barely assembled, carry within them a story to be considered over the long term. They form a world unto themselves, a quest for balance, an attempt to capture the suspended, fleeting moment.

Her series of "Mandalas" composes a message that invites meditation, refocusing, and contemplation. As Jung believed, the mandala can be a reflection of the self, a tool for psychological exploration and personal development. Its circular shape symbolizes harmony, the universe, transformation, impermanence, and infinity. A meditative tool in many spiritual traditions, it guides the mind toward a state of concentration and refocusing.
